Copyright Policy

Presentations you download through this tool still belong to their original creators. Here’s what that means in practice.

Last updated: July 2025

Ownership of Content

All presentations processed through SlideShare Downloader Free remain the intellectual property of their original authors or copyright holders. Downloading a presentation does not transfer ownership, and it does not grant you any additional rights to the content beyond what you already had by viewing it publicly.

What Downloading Does and Doesn’t Grant

It gives you a copy

A downloaded file lets you view a public presentation offline, the same way viewing it on SlideShare does.

It doesn’t give you the rights to it

Copyright, trademarks and any other intellectual property stay with the original creator.

It doesn’t authorize republishing

Uploading, reselling or redistributing someone else’s presentation still generally needs their permission.

Acceptable Use

We built this tool for personal learning, research and reference. In practice, that means:

01

Personal study

Keeping a copy for your own reading, studying or offline reference.

02

Research and citation

Referencing a presentation in your own work, with proper credit to the original author.

03

Classroom use

Teachers and students using a presentation for coursework, within the bounds of fair use in their jurisdiction.

What We Don’t Support

Redistribution without permission

Uploading a downloaded presentation to another site or platform without the original author’s consent.

Commercial resale

Selling or licensing someone else’s presentation as your own.

Removing attribution

Presenting a downloaded presentation as your own original work.

A Note on Fair Use

Copyright law, including fair use and fair dealing exceptions, varies by country and by how content is used. This page is a general guide, not legal advice. If you’re unsure whether a specific use is permitted, it’s worth checking the rules that apply in your own jurisdiction, or reaching out to the original creator directly.

Reporting a Copyright Concern

If you’re a rights holder and believe your content has been accessed in a way that violates your rights, see our full DMCA policy for how to submit a request.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this copyright policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised date.
